What is the R.O.C.K.?
The acronym stands for Recreational Opportunities for Christian Kids.
It is designed to be a non-competitive, skills-based basketball program with an emphasis on Christ-centered team play. Children are taught the value of character development and how it relates to living in a Christian community.

Who can participate?
We invite boys and girls in grades 1-4. ?All are welcome even if you don’t attend Trinity! Grades 1-2 will be together as teams and Grades 3-4 will be together as teams. *Mature kindergarten students are welcome.

Can I register my child if I attend a church other than Trinity?
Absolutely! Friends, family members and neighbors are all welcome to register through Trinity.

Volunteer Coaches: R.O.C.K. relies solely on the participation of adults through coaching leadership. Volunteer coaches are assigned to teams, with a ratio of one coach to five children.

End of the season celebration: Our season concludes with a celebration at Trinity to be announced at a later date.

Grades 1-2
Christ-Centered Basketball: It’s all about basketball skills and team play.
Devotions and prayer are a part of every practice and game.

Practices and Games: Boys and girls practice and have games together. The season begins in December and runs for 10 weeks. Trinity’s practices will be held on Mondays beginning in December. Games will be held on Saturdays beginning in January.

Registration Fee: A one-time seasonal fee of $40 per child/$60 per family max is required with completed registration. Every participant receives an exclusive R.O.C.K. t-shirt.

Grades 3-4
Christ-Centered Basketball: Students in grades 3-4 participate in the Maplewood Community Basketball League. This is a competitive league, although our focus will be on player development. Equal play is the goal to the greatest extent possible. No games or practices will be scheduled on Saturday evenings or Sunday mornings, to ensure that children remain active in their church’s weekly programs.

Practices and Games: Boys and girls have separate practices and games. The season begins in November and runs through March. Trinity’s practices will be held at Trinity on Tuesdays or Thursdays depending on the team to which a student is assigned. Dates and times will be mailed to all those who are registered. Team assignments are made the first week of practice. Games are scheduled for Saturday morning or afternoon at sites in the east-metro. Parents are responsible for the transportation to and from games.

Registration Fee: A fee of $100 per child, per season, is required with completed registration. Every participant receives a league jersey.
